Hauling a boat for a job that takes ninety minutes is its own kind of expensive — ramp fees, trailer time, or yard minimums before a wrench ever comes out. Most diagnostics and a large share of repairs can be done right where the boat sits, which is the entire point of a mobile marine mechanic.

What can be done in the slip

Diagnostics of every kind, 100-hour and annual services, fuel system work, electrical troubleshooting and installs, impellers and water pumps on most engines, batteries, starters, alternators, control and cable adjustments, and pre-purchase engine inspections. The truck carries the tools and the common wear parts, so most visits finish the job in one trip.

What cannot

Honesty matters here: some jobs need the boat out of the water — gearcase teardowns, bellows on sterndrives, prop shaft seals below the waterline, and anything structural. When that is the case we say so up front and help you plan the haul rather than pretending otherwise.
