I have spent the better part of two decades with my hands in marine engines — everything from small outboards to twin-inboard cruisers — working out of Coral Springs and across Broward County.

South Florida is hard on boats. Year-round salt, heat, and ethanol fuel punish an engine in ways a northern season never does, and the shortcuts that pass elsewhere will strand you in the Intracoastal. So I do it properly: diagnose the actual fault, fix the root cause, and tell you plainly what I found.
